I am always happy to have my shoes fixed in India. Much easier than at home when you really have no choice but to throw them out.

Yes, Iggy, except that the level of hygiene is sometimes suspect. So, drinking water from a cart might be an invitation to disaster! Funny thing, Shangri-La, why people in many countries don't have places to fix stuff like shoes & umbrellas & clothes which don't fit..
