For example, the medium Michelangelo used to create David was marble, Calder's stabiles employ painted steel plates and Duchamp's infamous Fountain had porcelain as its medium. Thousand and thousand of today's internet Artist and hobbyist are using this medium to create there own expression of images.Take for example Adrianna ( Strangestagain) , her creativeness and Artwork on digital image format are so stunning and Unique.i called it "Adrianna Effect"..
I used Digital Format to mimic pen and Ink and watercolor.... This is for Tedbarlow.Feel free to use the images Ted..

on my niece..

The most difficult to capture on a portrait shot outdoor is when the subject skin is light or Brown.. OE is unavoidable on light skin , and details will loose on brown skin..unless the subject is in a shaded portion and we use a lightform to make the hard light bounce to the subject and make it soft , that , all this factors would change..however , photoshop is one of a good alternative tools to tweak the image and give more details and reduce OE on our image as well , but it needs a lot of time to do it..and i don't have that time nor many of us here , so what i did? both of us are in a shaded portion of the house..still the details is not much on the skin tones and the eyes , but the hair details are great! I just say that to compliment myself! ha ha ha!

Condition :
partial shaded , time 5:30PM sun position almost down..

Technical Aspect :

Nikon D40 APS-CF 6.1MP
Lens : Tamron 18-200mm Asperical LD Macro lens
Apperture : Widest at 5.6 to get a good blur of the Bachground..( Bokeh)
Shutter Release : 80s
Dial Selection : M for manual mode
ISO : 400 ( you can set this in Auto )
Saturation : Enhance Mode
Noise reduction : On
Flash : Did not Fire
Tripod : No
Post processing : PCCS3
Tweak the exposure level , Crop the Image , Shadow Drop , Selective tools ( magic Wand ) to select the eye for sharp edges and a sharpen .
Sharpening Technique :
Copy layer ( control + J )
Change Layer to darken , go to Filter>Unsharpen Mask> , Set Amount at 18 Radius at 40 Threshold at 0 percentage at 100% then hit OK ,Go back change the layer to Lighten same procedure but the percentage should be 50% hit OK..then change the layer to normal..
Go to Layer>Flatten Image..and your done! Cheers!

Thank you so much for viewing!

i know many of us here are using Nikon D40 , this small light weight DSLR make so many wonders if you just know how to tweak the 3D color Matrix II ,
Set your saturation to enhance mode , that simple mode can enhance the colors and tone of the subject without any falloff and comas to the edges...the kit lens that come with the Nikon D40 is one of the best lens so far..with ED marking ( Extra low dispersion) Glass that reduces Chromatic aberrations..

Unfortunately i aimed the camera high as not to capture the construction going on in front of me..

Dodgers against Pittsburgh Pirates..
I had difficulty capturing all the scene on that event since i was too far from the field plus it was a night shot !!!! and i was using the 300mm at 100 percent so some are actually Bokeh photography and with a little bit of motion blur...Now i know that Tamron has its limit on 100% full lens usage...most of the shot just go to delete section lol! since the motion blur is unbearable..anyway i enjoy the game and i got a free Dodgers Blanket! ha ha!, that is all that matters , plus i capture some sideline action from the people playing the ball while the game was on!

Technical Aspect :
Condition : Night Shot
Aperture : 8

Flash did not fire
Lens : 18-300mm Tamron

Post Process :
PhotoShop
First took shot of a frame then open a new layer cut and drag the frame.
2nd shot was the roses open it and drag and drop it on the framework re-size the flower using free transform hold the shift to make it even..
3rd was the bougainvillea open it and duplicate the layer then used magic wand to select the cut then then right click the mouse select cut via layer ti will open a new layer with the cut flowers , drag and drop it on the framework make some adjustment to the flowers to make it appear like it was coming out of the frame re-size to fit..
4th open it then cut the leaves via layer , same procedures as 3rd. make some adjustment on the position using free transform , eraser tools to correct some spot then re-size to fit..Multiple layers will appear on the framework so make sure every layers has a name , 1 frame 2 rose 3 bougainvillea 4 leaves..
Make sure that all original images be duplicated so if you are not happy with the result you can always go back to the original image..
Sorry for my focus its really not easy to use a camera on manual mode specially i am using a reading glass! My Tamron Lens are not compatible with my Nikon D40 so i have no other options.. i just want to share how to make a 2D images..

The settings are JPEG basic
Condition : Sunny - Hard light
White Balance : -3
ISO 400
Lens : Tamron 18-300mm
Aperture : 11
Shutter Speed 160
